A number of partner organisations have come together under the banner of Trade Walsall to provide support to start-up and established enterprises within the Social Enterprise Zone.

The aim of the Social Enterprise Zone is to create a interactive environment where enterprises can support each other, establishing a "social enterprise fraternity".

Monthly breakfast networking

Meetings, including speakers, advice and/or just a chance to connect with other local businesses.

Seminars/Learning zone

To be held periodically to include expert speakers and help sessions where advice/information on key business activities, legislation, will be provided. This will also include social enterprises within surrounding Black Country zones and further afield, providing attendees the opportunity to connect with other enterprises.

Business advice surgeries

.With partner organisations and "buddies" (experts in different fields or businessmen who are willing to make themselves available for one to one and group sessions).

Weekly connect

For hot desk hirers and tenants providing an ideal opportunity to meet/share ideas and help to each other.

Annual conference

For Social Enterprise in the Black Country - keeping up with new ideas and best practice.

Enterprise Awards

Competition - to work in conjunction with schools colleges and also new businesses.

Social Innovation

The pioneers of the Social Enterprise Zone, the Vine Trust Group are best described as a Community Development Trust that is actively engaged in economic, environmental and social regeneration. The organisation is structured to run an inclusive mix of services and facilities, which respond to the needs of the communities in which we serve, with the Christian Ethos as the cornerstone behind all activity.

Our projects include: property development, managed workspace, community businesses, arts programmes, sports and leisure facilities, retail and market space, town centre management, building restoration, environmental improvement, community transport, education work.

We welcome an eclectic mix of people who will create innovative schemes to tackle some of society's challenges. The Vine Trust's vision is for Goldmine to become a real community of creative activities and enterprises, providing young people with a invaluable experience of linking learning with business and community.
